When it came to choosing and buying a bike. I didn't really know where to start, I knew I would have to start off with a 125cc engine to get some experience before moving onto bigger bikes.
Luckily, my local motorbike dealership was offering a great NHS deal on the Suzuki GSX R125 and I kind of just went for it and hoped for the life of me that I would be able to pass the damn CBT, perhaps a bit of a quarter life crisis point? I dont know. But I had a bike!
Next was sorting out insurance for this bike. Being a new unexperienced rider on a brand spanking new bike (surprisingly?) all well known insurance companies were offering rediculous deals of up to £2000 annually. I went through MCN compare, BeWiser, compare the meerkat (market?). Everyone recommended MCE to me, however, despite being about a grand and a half cheaper the compulsory excess was over £1500. So it was a no from me.
Weeks later after having stressed over this whole thing being a total horrific mistake, I found a good deal with GoSkippy who also had good client reviews so I went for it.
SO great, my bike was sorted, insurance done now I just had to pass the CBT. Because I just love to put that much pressure on myself ...
