Am I Crazy Enough?

So first of all, just a heads up, I am not a writer or a great speller so this blog will not be marvelously written or grammatically correct, I just want a place to write about my experiences and maybe share my journey into buying and riding a motorcycle.

There are a few factors that have pushed me to becoming crazy enough to buy and ride a motorbike.
1. First of all, my mum used to ride mopeds and has some funny stories of holiday shenanigans with my dad. Including the time they were in Greece,  riding motorbikes and whilst enjoying being pillion rider my poor mum got stung by a hornet which "felt like a bullet"! Also, hearing the stories of coming off the bike when rolling out of control on a hill. You may be thinking, what the hell, why would she want that, but hang on, I promise it gets better...
2. My brother also owned an old vintage Vespa, he called it Rene after song by The Small Faces. He was a complete mod type and loved refurbishing it and bumbling around on it despite not picking up much speed! I had a little go on it one day and found it to be super heavy and vaguely remember stalling it until my brother told me to go away.
3. Moving to Devon and working in Crediton, you'd have to be blind not to notice that many mre people ride bikes here (as opposed to my home county, Surrey). Just in Crediton there are about 3 motorbike shops and even a 'Ride and Rest' cafe with old triumphs in the window! Being a district nurse, I see a lot of bikes on the road and find myself admiring their owners
for handling such a fierce machine. Also many more of my friends in Devon ride motorbikes and them telling me about the benefits and a feeling of freedom when riding bikes influenced me even more.

So there you have it, they may not be the most convincing reasons for deciding to ride a motorbike but they pretty much convinced me!
